sacramento is interesting for once.

so i don't think i mentioned this but last weekend, after deciding once and for all to start going to bed on time, i blew it all away again by seeing two concerts on consecutive nights.

that's right, trent "i'm never coming back to sacramento" reznor. he was considerate enough to let us out relatively early in the evening. he also waggled his ass a lot and seemed to bend over far too often than is considered "normal." that was my friday night.

amanda (fucking) palmer was not quite as considerate, and kept her audience awake and crazy excited until 1:30 In The Morning. she also managed to name-drop reznor. this was saturday.

oh yeah, zoe keating from rasputina's '02-'06 lineup was there too, because in some sort of magical confluence of genius and love all of my favorite artists are starting to collaborate.

more details of the concerts to follow, with many more pictures. i took about 400 each night.

my zoom lens, by the way, i am madly in love with.

I would have loved to have seen the Amanda Palmer/Zoe Keating show. Especially Zoe Keating. I love what she's doing these days.

yeah, and the live multi-track mixing thing is very cool. i remember first seeing it with gideon freudmann and just being blown away. i'd love to get my hands on one!

thanks! yeah, that's pretty much a nin concert, right? the audience grabbing for trent and he's too busy whining into his microphone looking angsty like no one in the world will ever love him :)
